Cleaning Balcony Floor Tiles

An effective product for cleaning the tiles on your balconies terraces or courtyards is good old-fashioned liquid sugar soap such as Selleys Original Sugar Soap that can be bought at Bunnings or other hardware stores. Bleach is also very good but you run the risk of tracking it inside and onto your wooden floor or carpet.

Fluctuating Water Temperatures

Some residents experience fluctuations in water temperature in their showers despite having replaced their tempering valves (see the item Hot Water Service, 8/10/2014, below).  It is possible the problem may lie with the cartridge in the tap unit, pictured.  This device mixes hot and cold water and offers precise temperature control. Unsolicited Visitors.

There is an expectation that the door intercom system forms a barrier for unwelcome visitors.  In this connection, the Executive Committee received a complaint about Jehovah's Witnesses knocking on the door of one apartment.  From observations by others, it appeared that these visitors were probably admitted by another resident or gained access through the entrance door being left off the latch.  The difficulty is that people such as hawkers and people who wish to canvass a particular religious or political point of view may be welcome to some but not to others. &nb
