Fly Wire Screens

Some residents are having trouble with their window screens. Should the mesh need to be replaced, we recommend Canberra Security Doors & Screens, 6242 6444, 23 Borthwick Avenue, Casey, sales@canberrasecuritydoors.com.au The screens are either fibre glass (a bit elastic and can withstand children pushing them) or aluminium (less resistant to pushing but longer lived). The costs are much the same but with the aluminium being a little more.
Another problem is with the pins (pictured) that secure the screens to the window frames: these are easily broken. A superior pin (pictured) can be obtained from Canberra Security Doors or from Damesa Industries, 5 Silva Avenue, Queanbeyan. It is necessary to drill a wider hole (5 mm) on the inside of the screen frame.
