There has been another instance of melting wires and halogen light transformers such as was noted in the News item of 19/11/14 below. 

Please review that advice and also those about circuit breakers, smoke detectors and the ACTEW  offer to supply and install LED lights at no charge. The LEDs burn at a much lower temperature than the halogens.
